Hi Lensmasters -

We have a winner! Congratulations are in order for Mr. Paul Duxbury – challenger extraordinaire and soon to be proud owner of a custom-built lens created for him in any niche of his choice by Tiffany and Lewis of BuildMyLens.com.

Traffic is going to help your lens a lot. I discovered this when I saw such huge jumps in LensRank when I blasted my list. So although I have a list (which – by the way, why don’t you?) you can get a similar effect using Ezine Articles.

Just write an article and place your Squidoo lens link in there – I’m doing that for my Top Toddler Toys lens and it gets decent traffic from those articles. Plus, EZA has a good Google PageRank, which helps your lens because you have a good backlink pointing to your lens.

Well I enjoyed it – I know it’s a slacker month for most of us because we’re busy getting ready for the holidays. Maybe we’ll do another in January when we’re all dedicated and have forged rock solid resolutions that we’ll work hard.

Hi Lensmasters!

It takes so little to get your lens rising in rank. All I did was create a good article about how to use Private Label Rights offline and then I blasted my list and told them where to read it. Today, my lens rose from 1,523 to the 400s.

I also noticed today that one of the lenses Lewis and I created not too long ago for a customer already has a Google PageRank of 5!! It’s located here: www.Squidoo.com/MrBento and is about Bento lunchboxes. A Squidoo lens can do very well in Google.

Okay, gear up for the final push! When I was doing the update, I found a LOT of lenses with the same LensRank as before, leading me to believe they may not have updated in full. But here’s the latest and when I do the final one, I’ll wait until afternoon to check LensRank:

Hi Lensmasters!

Thought I’d check in and see how the lenses are coming along for the challenge! I am dealing with sick kids AGAIN, so we’re headed to the doctor’s this morning. I swear I feel like I’m one of those cruise ships that needs to be professionally wiped down to get rid of germs – they bring home so many bugs from school! Ick.

Hi Squidooers!

Ele recently posted a question (or more pointedly, a frustration) she has with Squidoo). She said, “I have a really hard time getting html code to “take” in my modules. I’ll type in the code to add a live link (SO much easier on a blog!), save and publish, and then the code drops and only the tags are left. I sometimes do this three times or more and eventually, I get a live link, but the frustration almost makes it not worth the effort.”

I think I may know what the problem is – it happens to me from time to time. I wrote the solution and posted it to Ezine Articles here:

Let me know if this fixes it for you, Ele! This is the only thing that’s happened to me, but if it doesn’t cure it for you, submit a bug report.

Well you get 3 kids over being sick and then what happens? You get it yourself! It’s a lovely bug this time around – but I won’t impress you with the details.
