“Tiffany, Will You Flip My Lens for Me?”

Okay, since I launched Flip That Lens, I’ve heard from some people who have no trouble selling their lenses off for $200 a pop and some who can’t seem to find an audience.

I don’t have time to evaluate every single lens to tell you what I think, but I’ve gotten a TON of emails asking me to flip the lenses
for you for a split in the profits.

So something popped into my mind ever since I bought a lens the other day, fixed it and sold it. (Of course this was a disaster
lens I had to repair): What if I buy the lens from you for a set amount, then I turn around and sell them for 50% more than what I
paid for them?

Like an affiliate program for an eBook, I’d make about a 50% commission. So if you had a lens I knew I could flip for $125, I’d
pay you $60 for it, you’d transfer it to me and then I’d turn around, after doing whatever I felt needed to be done to it (if
anything) and sell it to my list.

The thing is, I don’t want people offended if I say “no thanks.” Some of your lenses may need too much work in my opinion, some may not be about topics I feel are sellable topics, and if you used PLR to create it - I won’t take it (I check it against copyscape). It has to be unique content for my list. You must have thick skin :)

http://www.squidoo.com/lenscritique and read what I say to other people because it’s almost always the same - longer introduction, use keywords in your titles, tag it to 40 tags, etc. It MUST have a
250 word (approx) introduction, 2 additional text modules, a guestbook and then the rest is up to you as far as whatever you
use - poll modules with hyperlinked product options, Amazon spotlights (don’t use the big Amazon module), etc.

1st week of February Lens Flipping?

On February 1st, I flipped a $200 lens on stress tests.

On February 2nd, I flipped a $125 lens on difficult coworkers but I also flipped another $125 lens on plus-sized dating, so the total was $250 for this day.

On February 3rd, I flipped two more lenses for $125 a piece to a single buyer on workplace stress, totaling $250.

On February 4th, I had a weird limbo situation. The travel lens was claimed, but then given back because it doesn’t fit with the customer’s niche, so this one didn’t get sold and is now back up for grabs at $125!

On February 5th, I flipped a lens at /dietdiabetic for $125.

On February 6th, I flipped my /coffeebean lens for $125.

On February 7th, I flipped a lens at /adwordstraffic for $145.

First week lens flipping profits?

$1,095

Not too shabby for 3 and a half hours’ worth of work!

The Travel Lens Back Up for Grabs!

Okay, we decided it’d be best to hold off on making Kauai this particular client’s focus, since he has more pressing needs, so the lens at http://www.squidoo.com/theislandofkauai is back up for sale. I know there are many of you in the travel niche, and this is a beautiful lens!

I initially created it because they ran a piece in our local paper about how Mauai is becoming more commercialized (like Oahu) and Kauai is now seen as the “untouched” tropical paradise. They also mentioned that while the rest of America is in a real estate crisis, Kauai is seeing home sales rise from an average of $350,000 to more than $500,000. So this could be good for the real estate OR travel niche.

February Lens Flipping Tally

So I’m on a mission to flip a lens a day this month, and so far, here are my stats:

On February 1st, I flipped a $200 lens on stress tests.

On February 2nd, I flipped a $125 lens on difficult coworkers but I also flipped another $125 lens on plus-sized dating, so the total was $250 for this day.

On February 3rd, I flipped two more lenses for $125 a piece to a single buyer on workplace stress, totaling $250.

On February 4th, I had a weird limbo situation. My Travel lens at www.Squidoo.com/theislandofkauai was kind of purchased - but by an existing customer who had prepaid for a lens. But now we’re not sure if it’s the best option for his business, so it’s in limbo.

On February 5th, I flipped a lens at /dietdiabetic for $125.

On February 6th, today, I flipped my /coffeebean lens for $125.

Tally for February, not including the odd status for February 4th?

$950!

Travel Lens Up for Sale Today!

Today I have a travel (or real estate) lens available for Kauai, Hawaii titled, “Why You Should Visit (or Move to) Kauai, Hawaii!”

This is a 5-star lens I created on September 3rd, but didn’t do anything with it until recently. Today it’s been tagged with keywords, had more modules added based on that keyword research, and had links placed throughout, which it didn’t have before.

I’ve also submitted it for inclusion to a few groups on Squidoo today, including:

Wanderers: The Travel Group
Oceanfront Vacations
Armchair Travel
Honeymoon

This lens hasn’t been promoted yet, but IS indexed in Google and Yahoo and has seen some traffic trickle in even before I added
tags, links, and more content. It’s indexed for these keywords and phrases, but this was BEFORE I added content to the lens and tagged it - it was originally some barebones short material I plugged in just to get it indexed:

P.S. - I went to Oahu when I was 16 with my best friend (who was a guy) and his family. We didn’t get to attend a luau so I’ve vowed to tranquilize my husband one day (he hates flying) and return to experience the culture a bit more)!

1 a Day Lens Flipping

Since these lenses are so easy to create for me, I’m trying to flip a lens a day in February to see what the profit potential is for me. I know I can create highly targeted lenses for a wide variety of niches.

On February 1st, I flipped a $200 lens on stress tests.

On February 2nd, I flipped a $125 lens on difficult coworkers but I also flipped another $125 lens on plus-sized dating, so the total was $250 for this day.

On February 3rd, I flipped two more lenses for $125 a piece to a single buyer on workplace stress, totaling $250.

First 3 days of February? $700 income from flipping my lenses. My goal? Since there are 29 days this month, I want to flip $3,625 worth of lenses. Think I can do it? I’ll keep you posted. Some days I may be busy and have to launch 2 on another day, but my end goal is the same.

The key is to create good lenses with unique, formidable content and good selling opportunities.
