Day 30: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,

The second is that I’m listing the Private Label Rights to my latest social networking product called Mastering FriendFeed – but Warriors get a BIG discount to what the general public will pay at my PLR Mini Mart site. Read about that WSO here:
Good luck with the lens purchase!

Day 29: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,
I hit a GREAT milestone today for my son’s tuition - read on and find out what it was…
Today I had a lens with an article pack in a VERY hot niche! It’s for the Forex trading niche – and if you’ve taken a peek, there are a lot of high commission products you can promote in this niche!
The lens promotes 6 ClickBank products (with great commissions of $46, $52, $79, $84, $85, and $119) and 2 Amazon books:

I want to remind you that if you see a lens you want, and you’re on the Lens Alert List, email me back even if the alert went out hours ago. The other day no one emailed me about a social media lens. I re-listed it the next day and I got dozens of emails from people who just assumed it would be gone. Doesn’t take a sec to shoot back a quick email saying, “I’ll take it!”
Lens Alert went out at: 10:17 PM
Lens sold at: 10:27 PM
Article Pack sold at: 10:27 PM to same buyer as lens
Total Tuition Tally: $4,000!! Woot - milestone hit!

Day 28: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,
Today I built 1 new lens and relisted my lens that didn’t sell from yesterday. Both sold! Woot! Sometimes it takes a couple of emails about it since not everyone sees an email and some assume the lens is already gone.

Day 27: Dear Lens Flipping Diary (Epic Fail)
I took a day off from lens building (I needed a rest) but then listed TWO new lenses to make up for it – and only one sold! GASP – my first failed lens flip! Say it ain’t so! Maybe someone didn’t reply because they assumed it’d be sold. Boo hoo.
First, who knew there was such an interest in dog psychology? Dog owners aren’t like most pet owners who just want to know how to feed them and get them to do tricks. Dog owners feel their pet is part of the family and they want to get to know them as well as possible. So that’s lens #1. (This one sold)
Lens #2 is about social media marketing. We all know static sales copy isn’t going anywhere, but the perfect warm-up routine for a prospect is to find you through a social media element – whether that’s an online video, a blog, or a web 2.0 site like Squidoo! (This poor little guy is still up for adoption).

Day 26: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,
I like doing top # lists etc because they’re so fast to write. Since there are 10 items, the content can be shorter, but adds up to the same length as the three regular article lenses I create. Here’s today’s lens I flipped:

PS - Turns out Squidoo removed the restriction about no relationship lenses so now I’m trying to find out if they’re actually allowed.
Day 25: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,
Tested out the new system today! Here’s how it works. I had a new lens called FAQ for Internet Marketing Newbies. Now it was still first to email me back got to buy the lens for $100 but here’s the twist:
I had also created five ORIGINAL one-page articles to accompany this topic that the lens buyer had the right to buy as well (these are NOT PLR – only the buyer will have the ability to use them, no one else). I wrote these personally, just like the lens itself.
Now IF the lens buyer decided to pass on the content, THEN whoever was next up in the email timeline would have the opportunity to buy the content only. If the first person to reply ONLY wanted the content but not the lens, I would wait 24 hours to see if anyone buys the lens – that person would still get first dibs on the content. The five original articles were an additional $100, so the lens and content combination would be $200 total.
What can they do with the original content? It’s the buyers – they can use it to build another lens, on their own website, in article directories, on a blog, in autoresponders, or sell it as PLR – I don’t care – they own all rights to it once they pay.
Here is the lens information as usual followed by the article titles and word counts:

The article pack is delivered in a single Word doc. Here are the five additional original articles that were made available to ONE person only (lens buyer getting first dibs):
Article #1: How to Pick a Profitable Niche – 444 Words
Article #2: How to Conduct Effective Keyword Research – 451 Words
Article #3: Using Autoresponders to Build a List – 400 Words
Article #4: Getting Paired Up With a Strong Joint Venture Partner – 446 Words
Article #5: Knowing Which Internet Marketing Business Model to Choose – 413 Words
Lens Alert went out at: 10:22 PM
Lens sold at: 10:26 PM
Article Pack sold at: 10:35
The lens owner passed on the articles so another buyer scooped them up instead
Total Tuition Tally: $3,300

Day 24: Dear Lens Flipping Diary,
I flipped a lens below but wanted to talk about something first here on the blog and get your feedback on an idea I have. Yesterday there was some confusion about the Google Knols I flipped. A few people had trouble viewing them – turns out they appear fine in AOL and Firefox but not so much in Internet Explorer, for example.
Another interesting thing happened – the debt knol got flagged and shut down within minutes of me launching it, so we’re looking into why that happened. It can be flagged by anyone but if it doesn’t get reinstated once they review it (he sent a request in) then I’ll refund that and learn from it. The fit over 40 knol is holding its own just fine
It didn’t appear to violate any TOS but one thing I’m learning – spammers and lazy people who provide no value to these social networking sites are ruining it for everyone – this is why topics like dieting are banned from Squidoo and why Hub Pages limits links to 2 per site.
So it got me thinking and I have an idea I want to pass along to you and see what you think. How would you personally like it if I did any of these along with lens listings, Knols, etc:
1.) Listed original blog posts of 250 words each for a niche with only one buyer (not PLR). A social networking site can’t shut down your blog – YOU control it! So I can write the content for you to plug into your blog with a quick cut and paste. As you probably know, blogs do great in search engines. So I could email you with a blog alert that says I have one pack of 14 blog posts for $140 ($10 each). No one else would own them but you and you could submit requests to me via email like you do for niche lenses.
2.) One page article packs to use as web content, in article directories, etc. Again – 100% original, no one else gets a copy but you. So I could have a pack of 10 one-page articles for $200 (this is $10 per page OFF of my usual $30 per page price for ghostwriting). If no one bought it, I would simply list it for sale on my PLR Mini Mart site so it would not be a loss for me (or use it myself on one of MY blogs)!
Would you like to have the opportunity to buy original pre-made content for your niche like this or stick to lenses only? I may even combine the two – say I have a lens alert about Internet Marketing and then I have 10 unique articles you can use to drive traffic to your new lens (so the first person to reply about the lens would have dibs on the 10 pack of articles and if they passed but bought the lens, then others could buy the original content). Let me know your thoughts on how I can cater to your needs with this list!
Okay, today’s lens alert was about blogging as a way to make money. It promoted 6 ClickBank products and 2 Amazon books.
