Who’s Up for the Squidoo Challenge?

I had an idea to have a challenge within Squidoo for Warriors who want to test their Web 2.0 savvy against one another. I’ll be posting a rules sheet here and a sign-up list and we can all share our experiences as we try to create and boost a lens to the highest ranking (compared to other competitors).

The 30 Days to Success on Squidoo challenge will be based on one keyword or phrase and it would be beneficial if everyone keeps tabs on their progress in a Word doc file to send to me when we’re done. At the end of 30 days, I’ll take everyone’s progress - what worked and what didn’t - and I’ll turn it into a rebrandable eBook that only the challengers can distribute with their affiliate links to Web 2.0 items and other tools or domains.

The eBook, titled: 30 Days to Success on Squidoo: What Happens When Marketers Challenge Each Other to a Lensmaster Duel on One of the ‘Net’s Most Viral Web 2.0 Sites? will be a reward for all of us. And of course, afterwards, we can interlink our web of challenge lenses and rise in the SERP ranks even more.

Get ready! It’s set to begin Saturday - January 13th at high noon Texas time. Are you game? If so, sign up by entering your information here and send me your name with the email you want to use as your contest notification email and I’ll send you an email when I have the rules ready. No one else will ever get access to your email - and I won’t use it for list purposes. It will be strictly for the challenge.

  • No NonSense Internet Marketing » Do you Squidoo:

[...] Since each lens is targeted around a specific keyword and each lens is already hosted on a site with a lot of traffic Google tends to rank these mini-sites very high. Interest is growing around this concept and I’m sure you will see more of these types of sites as time goes along. I put one together a while back to complement this blog, but have not promoted it. Check  out my No NonSense Internet Marketing Lense( I need the traffic)  Tiffany Dow has even put together a competition of Warriors to see who can build the best lens around Affiliate Marketing  and then see which warrior can get their lens ranked the highest after 30 days. The contest starts tomorrow and I’m going to get in on this. I doubt I will win since I have not touched this very much. I consider it a learning experience for me and I will be posting on this blog about my experiences with creating and getting Lenses to rank. You can read the rules if you want to try and get involved. [...]
